Over the past week, we scripted, filmed, edited, and uploaded our final episode of our news show. In this episode we discussed the war in Sudan, Trump's indictment, and renovations to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The completion of this episode essentially marks the conclusion of our project goals. We still plan to upload one final, more fun, video before we begin presenting, but the main portion of our project is now complete.

Recently we have discussed and begun to outline our plan for our final video. Also we have started researching topics for our final G2 News monthly episode and are scheduling mentor meetings.
Over the past few weeks, we have researched, written, and uploaded our March episode. We discussed the protests in France, March Madness, and the first female president at St. John's College. Moving forward, we plan to schedule meetings with our mentors and continue to plan what we want to do for our May episode, as it is not going to be our typical monthly news episode.
This week and next week we will be on spring break, so we don't think too much work will be getting done, as we are traveling, but we have started to plan out topics for our next post. Also, after searching, we were unable to find someone to do graphics for our guide for their ISP, so we have also started to plan out what we will do for our cover.
Since our last post, we filmed and edited our February episode, however, we ran into technical difficulties when trying to save and upload the video, so it is not up yet. We are trying our hardest and will post it as soon as possible. Looking forward to spring break, we are both going to be away the first week, so we will be doing most of the work over the second week. We plan to research the topics and script the March episode during that week.
Since our last post, we have uploaded our sixth episode and completed the final draft of our research guide which is linked under the "'How To' Guide Progress" page. We also presented for our mid-term review and have planned a meeting with our out of school mentor. Below, we have listed our plan/schedule for the next few months leading to the final presentation.

Over the past month we have researched, scripted, edited, and uploaded our fifth episode. In this episode we covered Severna Park High School student, Parijita Bastola's, journey on the voice and included clips from her recent show at a local restaurant. We thought including these clips and this story would be really interesting to viewers, as this was an exciting event for those in the Severna Park area. We have now begun to research topics for our next video upload at the end of January. Also, as we begin to prepare for our winter review, we plan to meet with our out of school mentor in order to receive feedback on our work thus far.
Over the past two weeks, we had a meeting with Mrs. Carsley and plan to meet with our in school mentor, Ms. Etchison, tomorrow. With Mrs. Carsely, we discussed our progress and the winter Fellows review. We were advised to meet with our out of school mentor before the review so she can offer advice and feedback on our episodes. Going into winter break, we plan to produce our December episode, as well as work on our reliable source guide. Our winter goals are to stick to our monthly upload schedule and to finish the final draft of our guide by the winter review.
Throughout the rest of November, we completed research for our November G2 News episode. We decided to write stories about the current state of the Great Barrier Reef, the mass shootings that occurred in November, and the Maryland midterm election results. This was a bit more of a challenging episode for us to produce, as we both have strong opinions about some of the topics we discussed, but it was definitely a good learning experience in unbiased news. After filming and editing our video, we uploaded it to our YouTube channel. For our research guide, we made edits based off Ms. Etchison, our in school mentors, feedback. We also reached out to our metors about meeting soon to discuss our progress thus far.
Over the past two weeks we have begun work on planning our next episode. We plan to discuss the midterm elections that took place recently; however we have yet to decide if we're going to focus on Maryland for our local story or cover other states for the national portion. Once we make this decision we will continue in depth research on the election results and choose our other stories.
